Chiropractic Visits
Initial Consultation – $75.00
Subsequent – $50.00
Early and correct diagnosis and treatment are essential to provide best outcomes including return to work, sports, and daily life. Contact your chiropractic doctor for information on prevention and seek treatment as early as possible after injury or when your symptoms do not begin to improve in 2-4 days. No referral is required at any time. Clinical outcomes demonstrate most patients begin to experience improvement in the first 2-3 office visits contributing to faster recovery and lower health costs.
Diagnostic Imaging
Usual digital spine x-ray is available on site. This includes x-ray for spine injury associated with work or car crash injury.
MRI – Patients can be referred for weight bearing MRI. This includes MRI needed for work or auto injury examination. Weight bearing (standing or sitting) images are recommended for MRI due to the spines changing position and compression under normal use as well as during injury event. Medical Services Plan of BC (MSP)
If you are currently enrolled in the MSP Premium Assistance Program, MSP contributes $23 per visit for a combined annual limit of 10 visits each calendar year for the following services: acupuncture, chiropractic, massage therapy, naturopathy, physical therapy and non-surgical podiatry. M.S.P. provides partial coverage only for persons on premium assistance. Please consult this office for details. Fees related to x-ray examinations, insurance reports, and requested letters not insured otherwise are the patient’s responsibility. No referral is required.
Extended Health Plan Benefits
One of the main reasons people delay care is cost. There are several programs available that cover partial or all treatment expense for the patient. If you are eligible for any of these programs, our clinic can assist you clarifying coverage and will answer any questions you may have. Patients may receive reimbursement of office fees from most employer and private purchased extended health benefit plans, such as those offered through Pacific Blue Cross and most other insurers. Extended health benefit information is available from your employer. This office will help with the completion of required forms and provide receipts that should be sent to your extended health benefits provider. Your employer determines limits and conditions for reimbursement. No referral is required.
WorkSafeBC Claims
Workers who are injured on the job and who qualify for workers compensation benefits are covered for eight weeks of chiropractic treatment at no cost. If you have been hurt on the job, contact your family chiropractic doctor immediately to begin care and recovery and return to work. If you are injured while working you should contact our office as soon as possible to complete the doctor’s injury report for WorkSafeBC. The sooner we complete the required medical form and treatment begins the faster you may recover and return to work. Chiropractic fees, reports and x-rays are paid by WorkSafeBC for accepted work related injuries. You are also covered for wage loss benefits while under the care of your family chiropractor. No referral is required.
ICBC
ICBC provides coverage to persons injured as a result of a car crash. What you choose to do “After The Crash” will affect your recovery. Commencing appropriate treatment for back and related conditions from chiropractic treatment is associated with earlier recovery. Simply provide your claim number to your chiropractic doctor who will confirm that you have been approved. Treatment costs associated with the crash and claim are ordinarily covered. Our clinic will complete all of the required medical reports. Contact our clinic as soon as possible if you have been involved in a crash. Our doctors will provide, upon request, a medical legal report and attend court when requested by your or ICBC’s lawyer. If you are injured you should consult your chiropractic doctor as soon as possible following the car crash. No referral is required.
Pacific Blue Cross
The majority of British Columbians have insurance benefits through their employers extended health plans administered by Pacific Blue Cross. Most group benefit plans offer medical coverage for chiropractic treatment. Pacific Blue Cross also offers eClaims service which allows our clinic to submit directly on your behalf. Contact your employer’s Human Resources department or ask your benefits provider directly to find out more about coverage when attending your family chiropractic doctor for health care.
